Just plain doing something nice for someone close to you can be really nice…
an offer of service? “let me do that for you” or just doing it
A kind word, a card or small gift (or a big gift!) even spending quality time or a gentle touch can be nice (if the like that sorta thing)…
So, go ahead, do something for someone close to you…

they tell the listener: you notice, you admire… and that they MATTER enough to notice…

A simple: “Thank you, I’d rather not…” or a “Oh, thanks for asking, I prefer ________ ing instead.”…
you see, lot’s of nice people are nice to everyone they meet… and forget about that person in the mirror…
